My Christmas Wishlist

1. I really want the 28 inch Samsung U28D590D 4k UHD Monitor for media consumption and awesome photoshop editing, etc. to replace the Full HD Samsung 32 inch LCD TV (that now has lines) that I still use as a monitor for my desktop PC in my room. It is worth Php 29,000.00 in PCHUB (ouch!), so it would probably just stay in the wishlist for the meantime but I'm thinking of buying number 2 as an alternative instead.

2. I badly need a decent replacement monitor, so I can use my workstation for my studies this semester and I have semi-decided to get the My View 40" Full HD Smart TV 40PX250. It is worth Php 17k on Lazada, so it is a huge deal for a 40inch LED TV and it is a Smart TV with Android 4.0, WiFi, a camera and a keyboard (which I don't really need but the non-smart version is less than a thousand peso cheaper, so I will just get this one). I was thinking of buying another sammy though until I saw the price of this one. The thing with MyView is that it is bad on after-sales support, so I'm still looking if Samsung has a product close to this price.
Although LED TVs are not ideal to use as a monitor because of its saturated color and lesser pixel density, it is more than enough for me to work my excel, word and pdfs for studying and the 40-inch will definitely be mind-blowing for movies and animes, the bigger the better.

3. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. I wanted a tablet that has an awesome screen to go along with my Xiaomi Mi 3, for media consumption and some e-book reading but I'm still thinking if I could make a good use for it. The LTE version is P 19k in the Kimstore, without Samsung warranty and P 24k with the Manufacturer Warranty.

4.  A second set of water reservoir tank to parallel our existing water system to add pressure to a hot rain-shower and fully automatic washing machine. Laundry is tiring, to go automatic is the option for a lazy-ass like me. And who does not like a relaxing hot rain-showing to start and end the day?

5. Canon EF 40mm f2.8 STM Pancake Lens. This has been in the wishlist since last year. I want a prime lens for my Canon 650D DSLR Camera and this stepper motor lens is fast and is affordable. This is worth Php 6-8k.

Philippine Cellphone/ Mobile Phones Area Code Sorted

Here in the Philippines, Mobile Service Providers have unlimited calls and texts promotions, which give the customers privilege to call or text to the same network without limits as long as the customer is subscribed to the service promo at the time. Promo varies throughout the network from 1 day upto 1 month. However, the area codes of the network has expanded to 56 different codes and if you are subscribed to the unlimited promos, sometimes you are left guessing if the number you are dialing to is within the same network or else you will be charged with regular rates. Below are the mobile area codes sorted.

In order to familiarize the numbers, I sorted it in order of the third digit, like all ones and zeros are smart numbers, which is easier to memorize.

GSAT GPinoy Global Satellite P99 Monthly Load

TV has a big part of what I am. It was my source of learning and entertainment. I am a proud couch potato. I grew up watching television subscribed to a local cable provider. I used to watch TV weekdays all night and throughout the weekends. My favorite channels were Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel, HBO, Disney Channel and MTV Asia. I used to watch them in a 21 inch CRT tube with my family and friends. As of last year, we were still subscribed to the local cable provider and it had been 15 years but due to the internet (news, facebook, youtube and easy multimedia access), the TV was then barely on, sometimes only turned on twice a week for scanning for what's on tv, so we decided to stop the cable subscription because it is not SULIT to pay the monthly fee anymore. We are absolutely blacked of any television media, event the local channels because we don't have antennas and realized that we can't live without the cable TV. So, I canvassed for a cheaper Satellite TV and have found one that would satisfy our need; GSAT GPinoy SD Channels, with a monthly load of P99 pesos only, with a cashout of one time P2,990 for the satellite dish.

The GSAT GPinoy channel lineup is:
1. Global News
2. ABS-CBN
3. TV5
4. GMA
5. GMA News
6. Studio 23
7. Global Pinoy Cinema
8. Cinemax
9. Discovery Science
10. Animal Planet
11. Animax
12. Aljazeera
13. Net 25
14. Austalia Network
15. Channel V
16. Pinoy Extreme
17. Telenovela

Well the lineup is pretty satisfying for 99 Pesos. but I am left out with where to watch the American Idol though. I think none of the line up, airs the show.
